The Kid

“He can neither read or write and him in broods already the taste for mindless VIOLENCE.”

Sinner Assessment

Management could not perform any background research on this sinner, any information here is either deduced or said by the sinner. Any new information of the sinner should be reported to management with urgency.

Though the sinner claims to be from F-Corp it is certain that he spent an important part of his life in the Outskirts, so his knowledge about common facts in the city may not be sufficient and in need of guidance. Overall his nature is defined by either violence and defiance or reservedness and apathy, with any direct order or attempt to control the sinner possibly resulting in a violent answer from the sinner. It is advised that in such cases — where an order is needed to be assigned to the sinner — that the manager use peer pressure, which has been shown to be particularly effective with this sinner. Beware of any sudden change of personality with the sinner and in such cases do not be in close proximity without aid of another combat capable sinner (Such as Nº 3 and Nº 4).

Louis “The Kid” Holden is the sinner nº33 of the LCB, first introduced in Episode 7.5-??: No Outskirts for Old Man.

Holden — commonly called just “Kid” or other variations — has a very apathetic and defiant personality, preferring to be left alone than to interact with the other sinners. Besides being affiliated with “Judge Holden” nothing else is much known about his history.

Holden appears as young man (17 or 18 years) with an slightly lower than average height and build. He has a wavy and unruly dark-red hair that reaches around his shoulder. Holden is generally seen with the same outfit: a standard LCB shirt and pants under a night blue poncho.

Due to his poncho — which is decorated in white with a scenery of mountains at the brim; a meteor shower around his neck; two snakes twisting on eachother — most of his clothing and weapons are covered under it. Such things hidden by the poncho are a side pouch-bandolier hybrid on his left side, a holster and a belt.

Holden wields a multitude of weapons during combat, usually defaulting to warhammer and a revolver as his main weapons, which are named, respectively, Et in Arcadia Ego and Eldress in the Rocks. (For more see Holden Weapons)

Extra

||Holden has the build of an 18 yo boy who still can grow, looking relatively androgynous, letting the clothing and other details speak in the matter of looking either feminine or masculine. Their hair is shoulder high and dark red with wine highlights. Besides that, they are lanky and slim, appearing more tall than large.||

||In relation to his clothing, he prefers to show little skin of his body but also in clothes that allow movement and don’t make him claustrophobic, normally wearing only the shirt and pants of the standard issue with the remaining clothing being his personal property.||

||He wears a cowboy hat, with its brim slightly upturned, and in the blue band 2 cards: The 4 of Cups and The Tower XIV (that instead of being a burning tower is a burning tree). He wears his shirt without buttoning the top buttons and not tie, with his ID card hanging on the left, most of the time twisted so as to not show the face. Over most of the clothing, he wears a dark blue poncho reminiscent of the night sky with a meteor shower, snakes twirling and a landscape in white accents. Beside that he wears common cowboy boots with no spur and a satchel worn diagonally to his left under the poncho.||

||His|| weapons ||are a custom revolver named “Eldress in the Rocks” that is of his making, being able to switch parts quite easily. It is worn in its holster on his right side alongside his belt. His other weapon is a shoulder high warhammer with falcon’s beak, though it is also modified with a lever action system that activates the head to become smoking hot metal.||

Personality

Holden is reserved and brooding, seemingly not caring to interject on the happenings and trying to not give out judgement even when asked about something. When issued orders — or when any action in any way inflicts on his freedom and control — he quickly gets angry and lashes out. He is also very susceptible to peer pressure, if the majority agrees on the issue he says no buts.

Extra

Louis is a reserved sinner usually not interfering or noting the other sinner antics unless directly prompted, in which he gives insight on the matter. These insights, most of the time, aren’t meaningful being easily concludable points or already thought out ones as if he didn’t want to interfere with the situation and give his opinion in what is happening, in the end taking more of the role of an observer than an actor.

The Kid appears to not care about what is happening to his surroundings, though any change related to his own being and his property is quickly shut down even if it is the most minor thing. Despite that he has shown to care more about others' well being than his own from time to time, remarking how “he shouldn’t do this” and how “he will regret it”, seemingly very caring and supportive behind an apathetic exterior. That is not to say he won’t complain later after the adversity is dealt with but never asking for retribution if he is the one who sprung to help instead of being called upon justifying as it was a selfish act.

Any attempts, intentional or not, to slightly or not persuade, order, council or speak for him (or any other action that may seem to be trying to control him in any way) is met with harsh and sometimes violent reaction from the sinner. Depending on the nature of the offence, he can be dissuaded to obey or let go of the behaviour if the surrounding sinners also approve of said “control attempt”, being very susceptible to group thinking even if he personally is against it.

When confronting new problems, he acts as if he knows what will happen due to already seeing similar situations unfurl countless times. When prompted he answers in line with determinism and how people can’t change due to how their nature will always govern over their wills and one cannot change their own nature.

His speech pattern consists in direct and concise phrases with long intervals in between them, which can feel as skipping ideas and lines in dialogue, in an overall rustic and informal dialect. Sometimes he uses archaic or complex words which may feel out of character, but in turn he also periodically struggles on speaking them. Awkward to talk with

He has shown to be knowledgeable in diverse topics though not expanding upon it unless it is about wildlife, biology or weapons and their making. In such cases he goes in long winded talks which resemble monologues, especially if the other party is not knowledgeable about said topic or only gives short answers, which only fuel his will to talk.

Holden Interview 5.5.589

(Caution Lacking Data)

The sinner during the initial interview said to be from the backstreets of F-Corp, though at 14 y.o. left his home to survive in the city, in this process he travelled to various backstreets to finally arrive at the outskirts. During his travels he worked in odd jobs most of them involving killing, protection, extortion and other violent works to survive.

In one of these jobs, he joined the Zwei Institution (maybe he meant Association?). When joining he was told that their objective was specifically dealing with the Outskirts threats. On their excursion they were exterminated by some human tribe on the Outskirts and the Kid became stranded on the outskirts.

Somewhere in the Outskirts he joined Glantom’s Gang, an Outskirts hunting group, in this syndicate he met once again the Judge. They were contracted by various parties with “Monster” Hunting, though as easily inferable, monster  hunting was not their main type of work. He rode with them for about a year.

He last rode with said syndicate during the disbandment of said gang and after that he worked on jobs he found while travelling on the Outskirts. In this period he somehow merged with Judge though it is still not known how or why. He said to have visited the City 2 times before now.

No further information could have been extracted from the sinner.

Current

Currently works with the LCB as the sinner nº33.

Relationships

The Kid relationship with the LCB is a turbulent one, out of necessity and not a very willing contract.
